Ten on Tuesday!

Finally I'm participating in It's a Crafty Life's Ten on Tuesday! Basically you post a list of ten things you want, like, need, etc. or ten photos. Anything you want as long as it's ten things! I've been wanting to do this for awhile but never seem to remember on Tuesdays. Today my list is ten places I want to visit! All of the images are courtesy google. For some reason blogger is being weird and won't let me link up.

1. Norway. My mom's family is from Norway and since I was a little girl I have always wanted to go there. Each Christmas my uncle would send our family Lefse which is a potato pancake with butter and sugar. And now I make a batch every Christmas.

2. Egypt. I desperately want to go climb the pyramids!

3. Peru. I went to Peru in the summer of 05' for a mission trip and have wanted to go back ever since. The people there are the most generous people you will ever meet. Always wanted to give even when they have nothing to give. It is a wonderful country full of color and beauty.

4. Australia. C'mon now their accent is more than enough reason to want to go there!

5. Ireland. Once again their accents are so wonderful and all that lush greenery is breathtaking.

6. Rome. Ever since my husband and I start dating I have always told him one day we will find ourselves dining at a cute little cafe in Rome.

7. Zimbabwe. I know a few families from Zimbabwe and they are amazing people. To hear them tell stories about their homeland makes my heart long to be there.

8. Alaska. I have always wanted to travel to Alaska! Every picture I see of Alaska is gorgeous.

9. Italy. Every time I see Venice in a movie my jaw drops. I love all the water and amazing buildings.

10. Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I know Arkansas seems boring compared to all of these wonderful places. And let's face it, it really is. But this is where Adam and I met and I want to go back there. I want to sit in the sanctuary where we first introduced ourselves. I want to take our kids back there some day and tell them how their mommy and daddy met.

So excited...

I am so excited for the Craftaholics Anonymous Homemade Gift Exchange! Twice a year Linda hosts a gift exchange. I did my first exchange last Christmas. I had SOOO much fun! And can't wait to do it again this time. So go on over and check out her blog and all the info and join in on the fun!

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Adam and I started the day of with a 5 mile bike ride. Half way through Adam's bike chain broke so he had to walk the rest of the way. Now we are about to jump in the pool and then have a cookout! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday.

Chanel

A girl I know from High School posted a picture on Facebook today of her new Chanel tattoo. She is not the type of girl you would think would like Chanel. Now I love their No.5 perfume but I have never gone into their store or looked at them online...I just made the mistake of looking at their website. I'm in love!

Here is my friend's tattoo. It's pretty simple but I still like it.

I loveLOVElove this ring! I asked my darling husband if he would ever buy this for me. At $20,800 I got a big fat NO! I guess that means I will only get to dream about wearing this ring. But isn't it absolutely stunning?! For that price though I think I would be too scared to even wear it around the house. Maybe one day I will have a gorgeous piece of jewelry from Chanel, but for now I will stick to spraying my Granny's No.5 perfume whenever I visit her. :]

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I've been gone for far too long!

Hey everyone. I haven't been posting anything lately because I don't know what to write about. I'd rather just post pictures of things I make. But have no fear, I'm going to try to start posting more. So I have made a lot of things since I last posted and obviously I can't show you everything in one post. So today I'm going to show y'all some paper flowers I have been making. I saw the idea somewhere on blogland but I can not remember where. So if you have seen these and can comment where I will add a link.

These flowers are actually really easy to make and don't take too much time.

I like to group them together in a vase. I hot glued a piece of floral wire in the middle and then wrapped them together to keep the three flowers together.

I know it's blurry but I can not get a good picture. I don't have a great camera. But at least you can see the details and the folds of the flower.

You can make different size flowers and make a pretty bouquet.

And put them in an old wine bottle like I did.

I made the flowers from pages in an old book. Using pages from a book is easier to fold then regular paper. Plus it adds an interesting look to them. I hope you guys enjoy!
