Happy November!!

I am SOOOO in love with this weather. I love the cold! Kinda wished we had a fireplace. Mhhm hot cocoa and roasting marshmellows! :]

So I decided to finally write that long post..but now I can't think of anything to say. I have a few projects in mind that I want to start, but I've used my 'crafty budget' this month already. :[ I decorated for Tgivin' but no turkeys! Adam and I both dislike turkey, but I still feel like I should decorate with some lil guys!
For Tgivin' we are staying here and having our own little nontraditional meal. Since we don't like turkey we are going to smoke a brisket. (That's our Texan roots coming out!!) Seriously, I MISSSSSSSSSSS good BBQ and TexMex. Nothing compares here. At least we haven't found anything we absolutely love.

We will still have mashed tators and green bean casserole and of course pumpkin pie and chocolate pie! I sure will miss my Granny's stuffing and cranberry sauce. Adambear isn't a fan of those! :[

Do y'all know CHRISTmas is in like 46 days?!? That's crazy to me, but I'm so excited! I love this time of year. I can't wait to decorate a tree the way I want! The theme I'm going to go with is red and sliver! I can't wait to post pictures. I need to work on posting more pictures.

So Adam has a new hobby...you ready for it?!

...you sure your ready?!

HOMEBREWING!

So the other weekend we went to our local recycle center and dug through their HUGE pins of wine bottles. We grabbed about 25 bottles, brought em' home and soaked them in the tub. I let Adam deal with taking all the labels off. So this weekend he built a wine box thing to store empty bottles in the closet. It's pretty neat. We think it will hold around 80 bottles. I'm still trying to find a pretty wine rack to keep a few bottles on display. Our first batch is basically a knockoff of Mike's Hard Lemonade. I'm really excited to taste it. It won't be ready till Dec. 1st! Hopefully it will be tasty so I can take some home at Christmas for the fam to taste.

My blog is in a total MESS! I finally figured out how to make a header...now all my info is down at the bottom. I will be fixing this sometime this week.

I got a job...it's seasonal, but hey it's money! So far I like it, I'm terrified to work on Black Friday.

I know this is another short one...one of these days I will write a longggg post.

Fall is HERE!!!

I haven't been checking my blog lately...I didn't have any follwers and didn't think anybody was reading this. So I checked this morning because I'm making some fall decorations and noticed I had TWO comments!! I know that's not a lot at all, but makes me happy knowing someone out there is reading this!

Adambear is cutting me some wood blocks right now. I'm excited to paint some Thanksgiving things! I will post pictures later today. I still need to post the baby blocks I made for my nieces!

Place title here...

Alright, here is to trying again with posting some pictures...let's pray they work. I have a lot to post. :]

Well this fall I'm really into wreaths for some reason.

So I saw this wreath on The Eclectic Owl and I fell in love! (Sorry it's once again not rotated right and I took the picture at night :[.) I wanted to make one for Halloween. So I checked my coupons for Hobby Lobby and Michael's and found out that I had two 40% off coupons. One for HL and one for M's. So I grabbed all of my lovely coupons and headed to bible study, where a friend gave me some more M coupons! How wonderful. After bible study I went to Good Will to try to find a vase to put pine cones in. I found a HUGE vase. And it was only $3.93! I stopped at a park a week ago with Adam and picked up a Walmart size bag of pine cones. This was before I got the vase. So a few days ago I had to go back out and find more pine cones, I went to some nature trails by the house and grabbed another Walmart size bag. I thought for sure that would be enough. But it wasn't. So today I went and grabbed ANOTHER Walmart sized bag. And thank goodness it was finally enough.

I got the brown bow from a box of fake pumpkins and leaves from Walmart. I kept it not knowing what I would ever do with it. But I think it looks great!

These are some of the pumpkins I got at Walmart. Only $6 for eight pumpkins and some leaves!

These are the chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. They look a lot better than they taste. Next time I will remember to use sweetened cocoa powder instead of unsweetened.

I still have a few other Halloween pictures I need to upload. I will work on that tomorrow!

Rain rain GO AWAY!

It's just a wonderful rainy Sunday here in Georgia. We went camping this weekend and luckily did not get rain on! We made it home and had the car unpacked and then it started pouring! It rained and rained all day.

This is Lake Martin in Alabama. This picture is the sun rising. I was laying on our air mattress in the tent when I took this. I'm not sure why it won't rotate. Sorry!

And here our my babies! Watching the rain. I swear it's raining. Hahah.

I will post some more pictures tomorrow. I have figured out why they weren't posting. Well, actually I realized that Adam's laptop won't let me upload them on here for some strange reason. So I have to do it on the desktop, which is usually never on and in a room without a TV!

My pictures won't upload. :[

It's been a crazy last couple of days! At the end of last weekend I was getting things ready for Adam and I to go camping! We decided to go camping but it got too cold...we went last year in the middle of October and it was FREEZING! So we packed up the car and drove in hour and a half to Alexander City, Alabama! We camped on Lake Martin, it was absolutely gorgeous.( I have a lot of pictures I want to upload but the blog won't let me for some reason.) I wish I had readers who could help me!!

I made some chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting for my bible study tomorrow. It's the last day of the bible study. It's been a great 6 weeks! I also have a lot of crafts I want to begin on. I have pictures of a lot of different things I have made or want to make but alas my blog hates me! :[

I don't really know what else to write about without showing pictures. Maybe tomorrow!

Opps...haven't writen in a while.

Well I wish I could say that I have been very busy starting a new job, but no such luck. I am still enjoying my bible study and getting to know these women on a deeper level. I have been reading more and more blogs and getting such wonderful ideas for decorating. I have been going a little crazy with new projects. I'm working on some fall decor today, I will post pictures!!

This past Saturday I got some WONDERFUL news that my best friend from third grade might be moving to Georgia. Her boyfriend's company might be moving to Atlanta. I'm praying that this happens and that they move here. I miss them SOOOOOOOOO much!

Adambear and  I went to Dallas last weekend for my sister's baby shower and my best friend Tasha's daughter London's second birthday! It was great getting to see everyone. And Adam and I had a pretty good time driving the 12 hours there and back. It was nice being together for 12 hours without TV or anything else distracting us. I miss my family like crazy and wish we were much closer.

The kittens are getting huge and are driving me NUTS! They get into everything. They are adorable when they are sleeping! Haha. I love them like they are my own babies, but I'm ready for them to be grown up kitties!
If anyone out there is reading this, I hope to continue writing on a regular bases. We shall see. :]

Here is the initial M for our last name! I'm not sure if I really like the orange with black glitter. We will see at the end of the week what I think. Might just end up changing it up some! I got the idea from eighteen25. These ladies are amazing!

This little baby I got from my sweet, sweet Granny! Halloween is her favorite holiday and she is MY favorite Granny. I miss her so much and wish we weren't so far away. Last weekend while Adam and I were in Dallas I asked her if she had any Halloween and Christmas decorations she would like to give to me! And she did. Every year she would put this pumpkin on her porch right next to her on the bench! I'm so glad that I now have it and can remember her every year! The black was pretty faded and didn't look to great, but a simple coat of paint and it looks pretty spooky! (I will try to remember to do before and after pictures from now on.)

I have some more decorating I want to do but I need to return some pumpkins to Hobby Lobby and pick up some cheaper ones at Walmart. And I want some more candles. Adambear thinks I have too many already, but what girl can have TOO many candles?!? NOT me!

And I'm back...

Well...no followers...YET! I seriously hope that eventually people will read this blog and enjoy it. I'm still not sure what this blog will be about, but I guess that is have the journey.

I still have not found a job. I am still looking, but no luck thus far. I have however started a bible study at this new church Adambear and I started going to a few weeks ago. When we walked in and I saw the worship band, I knew it was the church for us. It reminded me so much of my church back home. :]  Today was the first bible  study meeting...I was VERY nervous. I didn't know anyone and had no clue if it would be all older women or all younger women. I think I was the youngest one there but it seemed like some of the lady's were not too much older than I was. My table was a neat group of lady's. I'm very excited to be doing this study and getting into the word daily. I have told myself so many times before that I would start reading the word daily and it just never seems to happen. This bible study has five days of homework. I want to work on doing them each one day...and not all the night before the next bible study. I'm going to continually pray that I keep my promise.

Last Tuesday Adambear and I picked up two kittens from a lady we met off of Craigslist! :] They are adorable! We got a boy and girl. They are both tabby's. The girl is more brown and the boy is more black. They are my babies!! We named them Buca and Beppo. Buca is the girl and Beppo is the boy. We named them after the restaurant Buca di Beppo...that is where we had our third date, the date that changed everything! On that date I realized how amazing and special Adam was. After that it was history!

I will add pictures tomorrow when I can get on my desktop and resize them.

Entry One...I Hope This Is a Good One!

I really don't know where to begin...so I guess I will just start with how I came to start this here blog! Earlier tonight my husband and I were reading some website about being frugal and ways to save money. Which by the way, they had some great suggestions. We were discussing things we could do to save money and then we starting talking about things I could do to earn money. I have been trying to find a job for months now, with NOOO luck. :[ My husband, Adambear as I call him, suggested I start blogging for money...but fat chance. I'm a horrible writer and speller! (Sorry in advance!)

So instead of doing this for money, I figure why not do it for fun! I guess I could introduce myself and tell ya a little about me!

My name is Sara! I have been happily married to my wonderful Adambear for 7 months now! YAY us. We live in the beautiful state of Georgia, although our hearts are deep, deep, DEEP in the heart of Texas!! We were both born and raised in Texas. He moved to Nebraska after college. When we started dating we only saw each other about once a month. I flew up to NE, he flew down to TX, we met in the middle in a small, itty bitty town called Ponca City, Oklahoma. It kind of became our little town! :] Our dating life was pretty adventurous...we went to Chicago for a week during my spring break, we went camping in Kansas, we went to Mount Rushmore for his birthday and a lot of traveling to see each other. I remember driving nine hours to NE to surprise him. He thought I was coming the next day, but I wanted to surprise him. We talked most of my drive up there, but he didn't catch on tell about thirty minutes from his front door.

Our first Thanksgiving together we decided to ditch our families and I flew up to NE and we had our own little Thanksgiving. It was wonderful, and on that trip we decided I would move to NE right after Christmas. We didn't tell anyone for a few weeks. He came in town a few days before Christmas and helped me pack. One night we were driving around and we went to this park that we used to always go to to watch the stars or clouds! It was there he proposed to me a few days before Christmas. :] I had a feeling it was going to happen, we both had talked about not living together till we were married, so after packing my car and half of his we drove to Nebraska. We eloped on New Year's Eve! Our families still don't know.

We both love the secret of being married. We have gone back to Texas a few times and every time we have to take our wedding rings off. It's such a romantic secret. Our best friends know but that's it. We are planning a wedding for a year from now so our families will be able to witness our marriage.

I guess that's more than a nutshell about me...

I'm not really sure what this blog will be about or if anyone will read this, but I hope to look back a year from now and be glad I started this thing.
